Various celebrities, family, friends, and colleagues of Dharmendra arrived at Dharmendra's prayer meet at Hema Malini's home on Thursday (November 27). For the unversed, the veteran actor passed away on November 24. Various big names from the industry were seen at the event, paying their respect and remembrance to the he-man of Bollywood. In the meet, bhajans and a reading from the Bhagavad Gita were included. The guests who were close to Dharmendra were also given an opportunity to share any memories they held with the actor and pay their tributes. This was not the only prayer meeting that was organized to honor Dharmendra. Another event was also organized by Sunny Deol at a hotel in the city.

Among the celebrities who were present at the meet was Sunita Ahuja, the wife of Govinda. She shared her experience at the meet, saying, "Hema ji had kept a path of Bhagavad Gita and bhajans. So, we all listened to the bhajans. I couldn't stop crying in front of Hema ji." She also explained that the environment in the event was deeply heart-touching and moving.

She also talked about Dharmendra's passing and said, "What can one say? It's a huge loss. He was such a legend. I couldn't stop crying. He was my childhood crush. I respect their family so much. I am really broken at the moment." While talking about how she met Dharmendra two months prior during Ganpati celebrations, she said, "I went with my son Yashvardhan. Esha had invited me for Ganpati. When Yash was born, I wished that he had the qualities and looks of Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra."

Sunita also remembered an adored moment, saying, "I had performed with Dharam ji on Sony TV to Chalkaye Jaam. Sharing the stage with him was so special for me. I respect him and his family a lot. I'm very close to Esha Deol too my whole family is. We are big fans of Dharmendra ji. In fact, I got married to Govinda because I felt he resembled Dharmendra. He is not that handsome; Dharmendra ji was the most handsome man in the industry. He was a true He-Man and worked till the very last. He was a large-hearted man." Some other celebrities who attended the event included Mahima Chaudhry and Esha Deol's ex-husband Bharat Takhtani.
